Hundreds of flights cancelled as winter storm hits US cities

With winter storm Oaklee approaching the Dallas area American Airlines and other have cancelled over 500 flight in and out of Dallas area airports.

Large parts of the US are being hit by winter storms for the second time this year and many airlines have been heavily affected by this, they’ve had to cancel hundreds of flights for hours or even days at a time.

Storm Oaklee hit the the southeast on Tuesday and is making its way across the central US right now, with many storms passing through the Dallas area. With this in mind American Airlines and other carriers have cancelled their flights out of their Dallas hubs in advance in order to notify passenger to make alternative travel plans.

DFW is American’s largest hub with over 11,000 flights weekly departing from DFW, it has been heavily affected by the recent weather conditions in the Dallas area having to cancel over 500 flights
